Nigeria U17 women’s national team, the Flamingos, don receive a cash reward of N4.5 million from Remo Stars and Beyond Limits Football Club owner, Hon.Kunle Soname, after their impressive performance against Guinea in the 2026 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup qualifiers.

Soname had earlier promised to give N750,000 for every goal scored in the second-leg match, and he fulfilled the pledge after the team delivered a strong 6–0 victory in Ikenne.

The Flamingos had already taken control of the tie in the first leg in Abidjan where dem win 5–0, making the second leg even more dominant as dem seal an 11–0 aggregate scoreline over Guinea.The match in Ikenne saw Nigeria start strong, with Oluwakemi Adegbuyi opening scoring in the ninth minute after a fine assist from Queen Joseph.Captain Harmony Chidi doubled the lead with a powerful long-range strike, while Queen Joseph herself also joined the scoresheet in the 23rd minute.Adegbuyi later scored again with a header in the 32nd minute, and Chidi added her second goal just before halftime to put the game beyond Guinea.In the second half, substitute Precious Oscar completed the rout with the sixth goal in the 70th minute.

The victory secured Nigeria’s place in the final qualifying round, where the Flamingos will face Benin Republic for a ticket to the 2026 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup.The result further highlights the team’s attacking strength and readiness for higher competition.

Soname’s reward is seen as encouragement for the young players as they continue their journey toward qualification and aim to return Nigeria to the global stage of women’s youth football.
