Sony Introduces Sixth-Generation Wearable Thermo Device with Advanced Cooling and Heating Features

Sony Thermo Technology has unveiled the Reon Pocket 6, the latest iteration of its wearable thermo device designed to cool or heat the body surface when worn around the neck.

The new lineup includes the standalone RNPK-6 and the RNPK-6T sensing kit, which comes with the Reon Pocket Tag 2, an external sensor capable of measuring ambient temperature and humidity when attached to clothing or a bag.

The Reon Pocket 6 introduces a Dual Thermo Module, shared with the flagship Reon Pocket Pro Plus, allowing two independent modules to alternate in intensity, enhancing cooling performance and lowering the device's temperature by approximately 2 degrees Celsius compared to the previous model. For comfort, the device features an Adaptive Hold Design, accommodating neck sizes from 28cm to 46cm, and a flexible internal tube for a secure fit.The adjustable airflow vent can be positioned to suit different collars and neck shapes.Users can control the device using five side buttons without relying on a smartphone.Battery life ranges from 3–10 hours in COOL mode and 3–7 hours in WARM mode, with fast charging reaching 80% in about 60 minutes. The device is water and dust resistant, weighs roughly 165 grams, and comes in a light gray color.Prices start at 25,300 yen for the RNPK-6 and 27,500 yen for the RNPK-6T.
