Presidential Spokesperson Vincent Magwenya highlighted that such claims ignore government statements condemning attacks on foreign nationals and reaffirming constitutional immigration laws.

He criticized a diplomatic representative for spreading false information to portray South Africa as a 'pariah state' and noted recent diplomatic engagements demonstrating the country's active role in global and continental affairs.

President Cyril Ramaphosa's visits to France and the Democratic Republic of Congo, along with support for South Sudan's Ebola response, underscored South Africa's commitment to regional cooperation.

Magwenya emphasized that the nation remains deeply engaged with Africa and the international community, rejecting any attempts to misrepresent its standing.

The spokesperson also mentioned Minister Ronald Lamola's role in South Sudan's peace process, reinforcing South Africa's dedication to regional stability and multilateralism.
