The South African Police Service (SAPS) has launched a multidisciplinary investigation into the fatal shooting of Andile Mvuyiselwa Somgaxa, the leader of March and March in Gauteng.Somgaxa was shot in his Johannesburg home's driveway on July 3 and died in hospital on July 13.Acting national commissioner Lt-Gen Puleng Dimpane condemned the attack, vowing a thorough probe to identify and prosecute those responsible.The investigation underscores SAPS's commitment to accountability, with Dimpane emphasizing that no stone will be left unturned.

Additionally, police welcomed arrests of five suspects in Limpopo who allegedly impersonated home affairs officials to intimidate a Nigerian business owner.The department confirmed the individual's legal status, warning against unauthorized immigration inspections.

Dimpane reiterated that such actions are unlawful and will not be tolerated, stressing that law enforcement agencies alone handle immigration verification.
