Adv.Kemi Behari, the suspended head of legal services in Ekurhuleni, has been arrested by the Political Killings Task Team (PKTT) following a disciplinary hearing.

This development marks progress in an investigation into allegations that Behari and other senior officials shielded Julius Mkhwanazi, the suspended EMPD acting chief, from disciplinary action.

The Madlanga Commission previously found that Behari failed to act on council resolutions to discipline Mkhwanazi, who was implicated by IPID for allegedly approving a fraudulent contract linked to underworld figure Vusimuzi 'Cat' Matlala.
