Tanzania has publicly thanked UNESCO for its critical role in supporting heritage conservation efforts across the country and Africa.Minister Juma Homera highlighted UNESCO's technical and financial contributions during the 48th World Heritage Committee session in Busan, Republic of Korea.

The collaboration has strengthened Tanzania's frameworks for managing seven World Heritage Sites, including Serengeti National Park and Stone Town of Zanzibar.

UNESCO's International Assistance Programme has enhanced local expertise in heritage management, improving conservation practices and meeting international standards.The partnership is vital for preserving cultural and natural sites that boost tourism and support economies.Tanzania remains committed to global heritage conservation efforts despite facing resource challenges.
