WATUMISHI Housing Investment (WHI) has announced plans to build over 250 residential units for government employees in Dar es Salaam, addressing the city's growing housing shortage.The project, located at Mbezi Beach in Jangwani, aims to provide decent accommodation near essential services and transport networks.Acting Chief Executive Architect Sephania Solomon emphasized that quality housing improves employee welfare and productivity.The initiative aligns with Tanzania's efforts to tackle urbanization pressures driven by rural-to-urban migration.WHI also progresses on the UDSM Hillpark Complex, a commercial development within the University of Dar es Salaam campus.These projects highlight WHI's role in expanding modern infrastructure while supporting national housing goals.The developments are critical for sustainable urban growth, offering alternatives to informal settlements lacking basic services.
