The Tanzanian government has allocated 9.085 billion shillings to develop road infrastructure in Moshi District during the 2026/27 financial year.This investment aims to strengthen transport networks and drive socioeconomic growth in the Kilimanjaro region.

Moshi District Commissioner Godfrey Mnzava announced the funding during a ceremony where two road construction machines were donated by local MPs, Moris Makoi and Enock Koola.The funds will be distributed between the Tanzania Rural and Urban Roads Agency (TARURA) and the Tanzania National Roads Agency (Tanroads).The initiative reflects the government's commitment to improving rural and urban connectivity, which is vital for economic development.Commissioner Mnzava highlighted the importance of collaboration between elected officials and government agencies to accelerate development.
