The video, which has gone viral, shows Umlazi District Director Busisiwe 'Metu' Mahlambi accusing her husband, acting Chief Director Muzi Mahlambi, of engaging in a sex-for-jobs scheme targeting teachers seeking employment.

While both Mahlambis have denied the allegations, the union argues that the probe must extend beyond the couple to address systemic issues in post appointments.Natu spokesperson Mathemba Mabija emphasized that if the claims are true, the corruption likely involved multiple individuals, not just one official.The department has appointed an independent investigator, but unions stress the need for transparency to restore public trust.Unemployed educators have reported suspicions of bribes influencing appointments, though no concrete evidence has emerged.
