Rare 1991 Polaroids of Kate Moss Rediscovered by Photographer Michel Haddi
Arnaud de Rosnay (1946–1984) was a French aristocrat, photographer, and extreme windsurfer whose life combined glamour and daring adventure.Initially making a name for himself as a fashion photographer for Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar, he captured some of the most iconic images of 1960s and 1970s style.
His photographs featured models such as Marisa Berenson and showcased creative fashion designs in exotic locations around the world, from Australia to Mauritius and the Swiss Alps.
Beyond photography, de Rosnay was an innovative windsurfer, credited with inventing the speed sail and completing challenging solo crossings of international straits, including the Bering Strait and the Strait of Gibraltar.
Tragically, he disappeared at sea in 1984 during an ambitious attempt to windsurf across the Taiwan Strait, leaving behind a legacy that blends high fashion with extreme sports.
The article highlights a selection of his stunning fashion portraits from the 1960s, demonstrating his eye for style, composition, and the ability to merge fashion with breathtaking landscapes and adventure.
