Over 200 young hockey players from diverse backgrounds are participating in a three-day summer camp at the Toronto Maple Leafs training facility, aimed at creating an inclusive space for BIPOC women in sports.

Organized by the Women of Colour Hockey Collective (WCHC), the camp features professional photo shoots, training sessions with PWHL players, and community-building activities.Executive director Saroya Tinker emphasized the importance of allowing participants to embrace their identities without feeling the need to conform.

Participants like eight-year-old Eliyah King and mothers like Cynthia Lam highlight the camp's role in boosting confidence and fostering connections.
