Batarti Gabbard, the 55-year-old brother of former Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, was arrested for allegedly trying to lure children to a hotel room in Honolulu, Hawaii.

According to the Honolulu Star-Advertiser, Gabbard approached several children, including a 9-year-old boy, and offered them gum and money to accompany him to his hotel room.He also asked the children for their names and wrote them in a notebook, but the children refused to go with him.

Gabbard's wife, Kimberly Gabbard, petitioned for a protective order due to his 'bizarre behavior,' including public disruptions and singing loudly.She noted his significant mental state deterioration and urged psychiatric treatment.

Tulsi Gabbard, who resigned as Director of National Intelligence last month citing her husband's health issues, has faced scrutiny over her political decisions, which some claim were influenced by Chris Butler, leader of a controversial group.Gabbard was charged with second-degree custodial interference, a misdemeanor.
