The supernatural thriller podcast 'Grim Death and Bill the Electrocuted Criminal' is being adapted into a TV series by Echoverse, a sci-fi and fantasy audio content studio.The project is based on a novel co-created by 'Hellboy' artist Mike Mignola and writer Thomas E.Sniegoski, which previously became an audio drama starring Cory Michael Smith and Merritt Wever.The new series will either be a standard format or optimized for short-form vertical viewing.

The novel follows Bentley, a man who agrees to work for Death to free his parents from purgatory, aided by his butler Pym, journalist Gwen, and sidekick Bill.The podcast, which launched in 2025, received critical acclaim, including awards at the Tribeca Festival and Communicator Awards.Echoverse president Mark Stern praised the novel's unique storytelling, while Sniegoski highlighted the creative collaboration with Mignola.

Both creators are executive producers for the TV adaptation, which aims to expand the richly textured world of the original work into a compelling series.
