Sen.Rodante Marcoleta's co-accused, former congressman Mike Defensor and businessman Joseph Varias Espiritu, have been committed to Quezon City Jail after their arrest.

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) confirmed they completed custodial processing and are now part of the general prison population.Both were arrested in a coffee shop in Quezon City and are being held in a cell designed for 10 persons.They are scheduled for medical exams and will face charges in court.Their lawyers spent time in the jail compound, but Defensor's daughter refused to comment.The BJMP assured no special treatment will be given to the detainees, emphasizing adherence to legal procedures.Marcoleta, also involved in the case, is undergoing medical evaluations before his own commitment to a detention facility.
