The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP), an RSS affiliate, has formally requested the Ayodhya Police to investigate allegations made by Opposition leaders Arvind Kejriwal and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra regarding the misappropriation of donations for the Ram Temple.

In a letter dated July 4, 2026, VHP international president Alok Kumar directed the police to summon the leaders, record their statements, and verify the credibility of their claims.

The allegations include accusations of ₹200 crore cash theft, stolen jewelry, and missing gold/silver from the temple, with Kejriwal criticizing the Uttar Pradesh Police, ED, and CBI for their inaction.Samajwadi Party leader Ram Gopal Yadav also alleged a ₹20,000-crore scam involving missing donations.AAP member Sanjay Singh claimed over ₹200 crore was stolen, implicating 50 employees.The VHP emphasized that if the allegations lack credible evidence, legal action should be taken against those making 'wild allegations.
