The Windsor Police Service, in collaboration with the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Canada Border Services Agency, U.S.Homeland Security Investigations, and the U.S.Drug Enforcement Administration, executed a major drug trafficking investigation that resulted in the seizure of nearly 1.7 tonnes of illicit drugs.

The operation, which began in January 2025, uncovered suspected cocaine, methamphetamine, and opium with an estimated street value of over $139 million.

Twenty-one individuals were charged with 102 offences, including violations of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, with 19 arrested and two remaining at large.

The investigation revealed a broker-style model within the commercial transportation sector, leveraging legitimate supply chains to transport illegal drugs across the Canada-U.S.border.

Search warrants executed in multiple locations led to the seizure of 973 kg of cocaine, 660 kg of methamphetamine, 49 kg of opium, 230 oxycodone tablets, 17 firearms, $90,000 in cash, and other contraband.The provincial asset forfeiture unit is now pursuing proceeds of crime offences, aiming to seize related property.This marks one of the largest single-investigation drug seizures in Ontario’s history.
