A man has been arrested in Winnipeg after a series of break-ins and vandalism incidents across the city.The suspect, 35, targeted six homes and a high school in the 100 block of Kingsway Avenue, throwing rocks and bricks through windows and doors.Residents reported being confronted and threatened by the suspect, with some items stolen.Mark Wasyliw, the independent MLA for Fort Garry, was one of the victims.He described the suspect as speaking gibberish and demanding alcohol before pointing to objects in his dining room.The suspect allegedly threw concrete through a window before fleeing.Police arrived to find the suspect walking down the street, armed with a broken liquor bottle, which he dropped before being arrested.The total damage is estimated at $25,000.The man faces seven counts of breaking and entering, as well as charges of assault with a weapon and uttering threats.None of the victims were injured.The incident highlights ongoing concerns about criminal activity in the area, with authorities urging residents to remain vigilant.
