Tanzanian mainland champions Young Africans (Yanga) have finalized the signing of Namibian striker Peter Shalulile to bolster their attack ahead of the 2026/2027 season.

The 33-year-old forward, known for his prolific goal-scoring record with Mamelodi Sundowns, joins Yanga after a six-year stint in South Africa where he amassed 136 goals across all competitions.His arrival marks a reunion with head coach Manqoba Mngqithi, who played a pivotal role in Shalulile's development at Sundowns.

The striker's experience, clinical finishing, and tactical understanding make him a key asset as Yanga aim to secure their fifth consecutive Mainland Tanzania Premier League title and progress in the CAF Champions League.

Shalulile's signing is part of Yanga's ambitious recruitment drive, which has seen the club add 10 new players including Senegalese striker Cheikh Ibrahima Touré, Comoros defender Housseine Zakouani, and Zambian attacker Albert Kangwanda.The club also signed six Tanzanian players to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season.
