The collaboration, unveiled at the 50th Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair, introduces an affordable installment payment plan designed to make 5G technology accessible to a broader segment of the population.
The partnership allows customers to acquire a ZTE 5G router through a structured payment scheme requiring an initial deposit of 80,000 Tanzanian shillings, followed by 12 monthly payments of the same amount.Each installment includes an unlimited internet package with speeds reaching up to 10 megabits per second.
The initiative specifically targets individuals, businesses, and institutions that have previously found the upfront costs of quality internet services prohibitive.
Imelda Edward, Sales and Internet Devices Manager at Yas Tanzania, explained during the launch event that the program addresses a critical affordability barrier preventing many Tanzanians from accessing reliable internet connectivity.
She emphasized that modern communication services extend far beyond simple internet access, serving as gateways to economic advancement and social opportunity through technology.
