Young Africans have signed prolific Namibian striker Peter Shalulile to bolster their title defense in the 2026/2027 Tanzania Premier League.The 33-year-old, known for his 136 goals during his six-year stint with Mamelodi Sundowns, reunites with head coach Manqoba Mngqithi, who previously guided him to five South African Premiership titles, a CAF Champions League crown, and the African Football League trophy.

Shalulile's arrival marks a key step in Yanga's strategy to secure a fifth consecutive league title and make a mark in the CAF Champions League.His experience, goal-scoring instincts, and familiarity with Mngqithi's tactics are expected to elevate the team's attacking options.

The club has also added 10 new signings, including Cheikh Ibrahima Touré, Housseine Zakouani, and Albert Kangwanda, alongside Tanzanian players like Juma Issa Abushiri and Suleiman Mbarouk, to strengthen their squad for domestic and continental challenges.
