Airtel Africa reported a 31% revenue surge to KSh 239.93 billion in Q1 2026, driven by a 11.6% growth in its customer base to 189 million across Africa.Data users increased to 87.3 million, with network traffic rising 56.3% as average monthly usage hit 10.6 GB.Airtel Money's customer base expanded 23.3% to 56.5 million, processing KSh 31.74 trillion annually.Nigeria led regional growth with 50.4% revenue increase, while East Africa saw 27.6% growth.Group EBITDA rose 36.6% to KSh 120.18 billion, and capital spending jumped 221.5% to KSh 50.4 billion for network expansion.The company plans to list Airtel Money in London to tap into global investors.CEO Sunil Taldar highlighted investments in AI and digital adoption as key drivers of growth.
