The All Progressives Congress (APC) has won all 18 chairmanship seats and 192 councillorship positions in Edo State's local government elections.Edo State Independent Electoral Commission (EDSIEC) chairman Jonathan Aifuobhokhan announced the results, stating the party emerged victorious across all 18 local government areas and 192 wards.The election was conducted in line with the Edo State Local Government Electoral Law 2022, as amended in 2026.

Aifuobhokhan praised the professionalism of returning officers and the peaceful conduct of all stakeholders, including political parties, traditional rulers, and civil society groups.He also commended Governor Monday Okpebholo for creating an enabling environment for the electoral process.While minor operational challenges were reported in some areas, they did not affect the overall outcome.The results highlight APC's dominance in Edo State's local governance, with no opposition parties securing any seats.The election underscores the party's strong grassroots support and organizational capabilities in the region.
