Asagba of Asaba Raises Alarm Over Unregulated Burial Practices in Residential Communities
Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed of Bauchi State has directed the upgrade of sports facilities at Jibrin Aminu Special School as part of ongoing efforts to improve education infrastructure and support students with special needs.The governor gave the directive during an inspection visit to the school, where renovation and upgrade works are currently ongoing.
He expressed satisfaction with the quality and speed of the project and said the state government remains committed to creating a better learning environment for students across Bauchi State.
According to the governor, sports and recreational activities are very important for the physical, mental and social development of students, especially children living with special needs.
He explained that proper sporting facilities can help students build confidence, improve social interaction and discover talents that can shape their future.
Governor Mohammed also noted that the school’s ongoing transformation is meant to provide an inclusive environment where both academic and extracurricular activities can thrive together.
As part of measures to strengthen the administration of the school, the governor recommended the construction of official residential quarters for the principal.He said this would improve supervision, coordination and effective management of school activities.
The renovation project is part of the Bauchi State Government’s wider education reform programme aimed at improving infrastructure, promoting inclusive education and giving young people better opportunities for learning and development.
The report also highlighted the government’s focus on creating modern and conducive facilities that can support both teaching staff and students in public schools across the state.
