A youth leader, Sunday Ogoh, was murdered in a gun attack on the Ondo community in Ugboju district of Otukpo Local Government Area, Benue State.The attack, which happened early Tuesday, saw gunmen invade the community around 5am, shooting randomly and killing one person while seriously wounding another.Many residents fled their homes following the violence.

The chairman of Otukpo LGA, Maxwell Ogiri, confirmed the attack was quickly contained by security forces, but not before one local resident lost his life.Security operatives have since launched a manhunt for the perpetrators.This incident follows a similar attack on Otukpo-Nobi community just 48 hours prior, where 18 people were killed.The ongoing violence has raised concerns about safety in the region, with residents expressing fear and calling for stronger security measures.Authorities are urging the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities.
