Tinubu probes Meta, Google, X over news content exploitation
Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia met with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja to discuss security, the return of internally displaced persons (IDPs), ongoing projects, and political dynamics in the state following its 50th anniversary celebrations.
Alia highlighted that security has improved compared to previous months, though some concerns remain as displaced residents gradually return to their communities during the farming season.He emphasized that Benue, as the nation's food basket, must ensure stability during this critical period.
The governor also addressed political tensions within the All Progressives Congress (APC) after the recent primary elections, expressing confidence in the party's unity ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Alia noted that Tinubu had commissioned the Benue Food and Fruit Processing Company during the anniversary events, while other infrastructure projects like a beer factory and urban renewal roads await completion.The meeting followed a series of events marking Benue's 50th anniversary, including an interdenominational thanksgiving service.
Alia thanked residents for their support and reaffirmed his commitment to driving the state's development agenda, focusing on industrialization, security, and economic growth for the next five decades.
