BJP accuses Rahul Gandhi of attempting to destabilise Modi government through alleged inflammatory remarks

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday levelled serious allegations against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of attempting to destabilise the Narendra Modi-led central government by allegedly inciting unrest and promoting anarchic conditions in the country.

BJP national spokesperson Sambit Patra claimed that Rahul Gandhi had made remarks suggesting that the Modi government would fall within a year during a meeting of the Congress Minority Department’s advisory council.According to Patra, these statements reflect a deliberate attempt to create political instability and provoke public unrest.

The BJP further alleged that Rahul Gandhi’s actions were influenced by foreign interests, naming individuals such as George Soros and foreign-funded organisations, claiming that these entities were supporting what they described as an anti-India agenda.Patra asserted that such influences were aimed at undermining India’s democratic framework and constitutional institutions.

The BJP leader also accused the Congress leader of repeatedly using strong language against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the central government, including earlier remarks referring to the Prime Minister as a ‘traitor’.

Patra argued that India’s democratic system remains strong and that attempts to incite unrest would not succeed, citing public trust in the Constitution and governance system.

The ruling party also highlighted ongoing political tensions between the BJP and Congress, especially in the context of recent statements made by opposition leaders.

The BJP maintained that the government continues to function with the mandate and support of the people and dismissed allegations of instability as baseless political rhetoric.

The controversy adds to the ongoing verbal exchanges between the ruling party and the opposition ahead of future electoral and political developments.
