A new opinion survey conducted across all five wards of Ol Kalou Constituency has revealed that Democracy for the Citizens (DCP) candidate Sammy Douglas Kamau Waweru is leading with 70.2% support, significantly ahead of United Democratic Alliance (UDA) candidate Samuel Muchina Nyagah at 23.1%.The poll, which interviewed 3,018 registered voters between July 1-3, projects a 47-point margin in favor of Waweru.Political analysts view this as a test of influence between DCP leader Rigathi Gachagua and Ruto's UDA.

While the survey shows strong public confidence in the IEBC (64% trust), it also highlights Ruto's weak performance in presidential preferences, with only 6.5% support.The results could signal challenges for UDA ahead of the July 16 by-election, as DCP seeks to expand its presence in Mt Kenya region.
