The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) has strongly criticised the Union government's decision to transfer the Education Secretary, alleging that the move undermines accountability at a time when concerns over the NEET paper leak controversy remain unresolved.

CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke claimed that the outgoing official had been replaced by an IAS officer from the Animal Husbandry Department who, according to him, faces serious multi-crore corruption allegations.

Dipke argued that replacing one senior bureaucrat with another who is allegedly under a cloud sends the wrong message to students and young people demanding transparency in the education system.

He described the decision as 'rewarding corruption' and reiterated the party's demand for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, stating that protests would continue until meaningful accountability is ensured.The criticism comes after the Centre carried out a major bureaucratic reshuffle, making 13 secretary-level appointments across ministries.As part of the changes, Naresh Pal Gangwar was appointed Secretary of the Department of Higher Education, while T.K.Anil Kumar became Secretary of the Department of School Education and Literacy.The reshuffle has coincided with nationwide protests over the alleged NEET paper leak and examination-related irregularities.The Congress has also announced district-level candlelight marches and satyagraha programmes in support of students.Meanwhile, a meeting between CJP leaders and senior BJP ministers, including J.P.Nadda and Jitendra Singh, was held to discuss the ongoing concerns.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has assured that strict action will be taken against those responsible for alleged paper leaks and said the Union Cabinet would consider legislation providing for fast-track courts and tougher punishment for such offences.
