Hunter Rivera, the 24-year-old chairman of the Weld County Republican Party in Colorado, was arrested on multiple felony charges related to attempting to solicit a child prostitute.

Authorities charged him with soliciting a child prostitute, internet luring of a child, soliciting to arrange a minor prostitute, and attempted child sexual assault.Rivera previously served as an aide to Republican legislators at the Colorado Capitol.The arrest came as part of a larger law enforcement operation aimed at apprehending individuals targeting minors for sexual exploitation.In this operation, investigators posed as minors offering sexual acts online.

Several dozen individuals responded to the online solicitations, and Rivera was among the two men who arrived at a prearranged location and were immediately arrested by deputies.Rivera has not publicly commented on the allegations.
