Kano Police Successfully Intercept Bandit Carrying 109 Rounds of Live Ammunition
A senior security source told SaharaReporters that the court martial of 36 Nigerian military personnel accused of plotting to overthrow President Bola Tinubu's government was suspended after Captain M.L.Muhammad collapsed in a '30-foot underground' detention facility operated by the Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA).
The officer reportedly experienced severe medical complications including convulsions, seizures, repeated vomiting, and breathing difficulties after being held in an illegal and dehumanizing environment.
Security sources claim he was exposed to harmful radiation from a signal-jamming device installed following suspicions of food smuggling by detainees.
The jammer consumed over 50% of the limited artificial oxygen supply in the underground facility, worsening health issues like vision problems, memory loss, migraines, and hormone regulation disorders.
The incident has raised concerns about the legality and conditions of detention at DIA, with ongoing reports of prolonged radiation exposure causing serious health risks including cancer and infertility. The trial remains suspended as authorities investigate Muhammad's condition.
