Cyberabad traffic police are planning a comprehensive week-long vehicle survey to address growing traffic congestion in the IT corridor.The initiative, approved during a review meeting chaired by Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Sunpreet Singh, involves counting vehicles categorized by day and time to analyze traffic patterns.The survey aims to identify peak-hour congestion in the morning and evening, enabling targeted traffic management strategies.Officials will also review CCTV camera functionality at key junctions, focusing on geo-tagging, high-resolution cameras, and signal configurations.Measures to ease congestion around shopping malls, hospitals, and educational institutions will be studied.Enforcement against traffic violations, especially drunk driving, will be intensified.The meeting included senior traffic officials and emphasized the need for strict compliance with traffic rules to improve road safety and flow.
