Hollywood actor Danny Glover, best known for his roles in films such as Lethal Weapon and The Color Purple, has publicly revealed that he has been living with Alzheimer’s disease.

The 79-year-old star shared the news during an emotional interview with NBC’s Today show, where he spoke candidly about his diagnosis and his outlook on life.

Glover explained that he was diagnosed in 2022, shortly after receiving an honorary Oscar recognising his long-standing humanitarian contributions and extensive acting career.With more than 200 acting credits across film and television, Glover has been a significant figure in Hollywood since his debut in 1979.

Despite his diagnosis, he expressed that he does not view the condition as the end of his life, noting that he continues to focus on living meaningfully as the disease progresses.

He acknowledged that Alzheimer’s will bring changes over time, particularly in memory and daily functioning, but emphasised the importance of continuing to live with purpose.
