Detectives from Kenya's Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have arrested Richard Gikuhe Mbugua, a key suspect in the murder of Edgar Mokua, a lecturer at Technical University of Kenya (TUK).Mokua vanished from his Lavington home on July 6, 2026, and his body was discovered five days later at City Mortuary.Forensic analysis linked him to Kettle Club and Ibiza Club in Lavington, where he met three individuals before being abandoned.A grey Toyota Ractis (KBZ 002R) was identified as the vehicle used to dump his body, leading to Mbugua's arrest at Ruiru Blue Estate.The recovered car is now part of the evidence.

The DCI emphasized that forensic and technical analysis were crucial in solving the case, highlighting the importance of collaboration between investigators and experts.The suspect remains in custody while further inquiries continue.
