The Democratic Congress Party (DCP) has praised the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) for its smooth management of the ongoing Ol Kalou constituency by-election, despite a minor procedural hiccup.DCP Secretary General John Methu described the election as one of the most orderly he had witnessed, with high voter turnout across the constituency.He urged remaining voters to cast their ballots early, emphasizing that the process was straightforward.

However, party agent Sammy Kamau Ngotho highlighted an issue where electoral officers asked agents to produce copies of their national ID cards—a requirement not supported by electoral law.Despite this, both officials confirmed the overall conduct of the vote remained largely uneventful, with strong civic participation.

The IEBC's handling of the election has been lauded for its efficiency, though the procedural irregularity raised concerns about adherence to legal guidelines.
