The Delhi and Bombay High Courts have established special fast-track courts to address cases related to question paper leaks and other malpractices in public examinations.

This decision follows Prime Minister Narendra Modi's announcement to set up such courts amid nationwide youth protests against alleged irregularities in the education system.The Delhi High Court issued its notification shortly after Modi's speech, while the Bombay High Court followed with a similar order.

The special courts in Delhi will operate from the Rouse Avenue Court Complex under Judge Anu Grover Baliga, while Maharashtra's courts in Aurangabad and Nagpur will handle cases under the 2024 Public Examinations Prevention of Unfair Means Act, ensuring trials are completed within three months.The move comes amid ongoing protests at Jantar Mantar in Delhi, where students and activists demand accountability for exam irregularities.

The protests began after the Cockroach Janta Party criticized Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan for alleged paper leaks, leading to a violent police crackdown that intensified the movement.

The courts aim to expedite justice for those involved in academic fraud, reflecting the government's commitment to addressing systemic issues in competitive examinations.
