In a routine stop-and-search operation along the Warri-Agbarho Road, Delta State police arrested two suspects and recovered two locally-fabricated Beretta pistols, approximately 200 grammes of a substance suspected to be cocaine, a walkie-talkie, and a dagger.

The Superintendent of Police, Bright Edafe, disclosed that the suspects were apprehended by the Safer Highway Patrol teams after intercepting a Mercedes-Benz ML SUV.A thorough search of the vehicle led to the recovery of the weapons and contraband.The police also seized a grinder and two sophisticated mobile phones.However, a third occupant of the vehicle escaped during the preliminary interrogation.The suspects remain in custody as investigations continue to locate the fleeing member of the alleged criminal gang.This operation highlights ongoing efforts by law enforcement to combat illegal arms trafficking and drug activities in the region.
