A young doctor, Dr.Akash Kumar, was shot dead during a robbery near Karachi's Teen Talwar area on Monday.The incident occurred when robbers intercepted his vehicle after he withdrew Rs5m from a private bank.Police revealed that the victim kept Rs2m in one envelope and Rs3m in another before being ambushed by four suspects on motorcycles.One of the attackers fired at Dr.Kumar, who later died in hospital.A case was registered under sections 34, 397, and 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code.

On Tuesday night, police arrested three suspects after a pursuit, seizing mobile phones, pistols, and a white Suzuki Alto with fake registration plates.The suspects confessed to planning the robbery, aided by an insider at the first bank who informed them about Dr.Kumar's appearance and cash withdrawal.The gang, known for street crimes in Karachi, faces ongoing raids to arrest remaining accomplices.Doctors protested at JPMC, where Dr.Kumar worked, while the Pakistan Medical Association condemned the attack as evidence of deteriorating law and order in the city.
