US President Donald Trump has been declared in excellent health following an extensive medical examination conducted at Walter Reed National Military Medical Centre.
The assessment involved 22 specialists and included a range of tests such as cardiac imaging, cancer screenings, a CT scan, cognitive evaluations and preventative health checks.
According to White House physician Dr Sean Barbabella, the 79-year-old president is in strong overall condition and remains fully fit to carry out the duties of the presidency.
The report also noted that Trump achieved a perfect score of 30 out of 30 on the Montreal Cognitive Assessment, a test used to screen for cognitive decline, matching results from previous years.His cholesterol levels have improved with medication, and doctors reported no significant concerns regarding his heart, lungs or neurological health.
Minor issues were recorded, including slight bruising on his hands attributed to frequent handshaking and aspirin use, as well as mild lower leg swelling linked to a known circulatory condition, chronic venous insufficiency.Physicians noted improvement in this condition compared to the previous year.
Trump’s weight was recorded at 238 pounds, reflecting a modest increase since his last assessment, and doctors advised continued attention to diet and exercise.
Despite public scrutiny around his age and stamina, the medical report concluded that his cognitive and physical performance remain excellent, reinforcing the White House’s message that he is capable of continuing in office.
