Ebonyi Education Experts Oppose Federal Plan to Scrap 6-3-3-4 System, Call for Better Implementation

Education stakeholders wey dey for Ebonyi State don strongly reject the federal government plan to reverse the 6-3-3-4 education policy.According to dem, instead of scrapping the system, government suppose focus on improving infrastructure, training more teachers, and providing better funding so that the policy fit achieve im original goals of making students self-reliant through vocational and technical skills.

Professor Chinedu Nwankwo from Alex Ekwueme Federal University explain say the 6-3-3-4 structure na designed to help students learn practical skills at junior secondary level, but lack of proper workshops, equipment and qualified teachers make am no work well.

Other stakeholders like Grace Onwe and Sunday Ogbu from Ebonyi Ministry of Education talk say frequent policy changes dey cause problem for long-term planning and implementation.Dem argue say the issue no be the structure of the policy but institutional challenges like poor funding and monitoring.

Ngozi Enyi from Ebonyi State University advise say government suppose first do proper assessment before any new change, and Emmanuel Eze from students union call for proper consultation with teachers and students.
