She emphasized that quality governance in public and private sectors is pivotal for realizing Nigeria's economic potential, calling on professionals to embrace lifelong learning and adapt to challenges like technological advancements, regulatory changes, and environmental concerns.
Veronica Ekundayo, Head of Dept, Private and Commercial Law, Babcock University, likened chartered secretaries to 'yeast of corporate governance' and 'engine oil,' stressing their importance in maintaining corporate integrity and ethical leadership.
The event underscored the need for professionals to uphold transparency, prevent conflicts, and act as trusted advisers to boards, ensuring organizations thrive amidst global uncertainties.
