PZ Cussons, a well-known manufacturer of personal healthcare and consumer goods, has officially announced the appointment of Oghenekevwe Ogefere as its new Company Secretary.
The announcement was made through a formal notice sent to the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX), informing shareholders and the investing public about the change in its corporate governance structure.
According to the notice, the appointment took effect on June 29, 2026, following approval by the company’s Board of Directors during a meeting held on the same day.
The communication was signed by the Chief Executive Officer of PZ Cussons, Oghale Elueni, confirming the board’s decision and the immediate commencement of Ogefere’s new role.Before her appointment, Oghenekevwe Ogefere built a strong career in legal practice, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.
She previously served as Senior Regulatory Affairs and Compliance Manager, as well as Data Protection Officer at Nigerian Breweries Plc, where she gained significant experience in managing regulatory frameworks and ensuring corporate compliance with industry standards.
Her professional background spans over 13 years, covering company secretarial duties, legal advisory services, board governance, and regulatory affairs, making her well-positioned for her new responsibility at PZ Cussons.She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from the University of Benin and is a qualified member of the Nigerian Bar.She is also affiliated with the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria, further strengthening her governance credentials.
The Board of PZ Cussons expressed confidence in her abilities and welcomed her to the organisation, noting that her expertise will add value to the company’s leadership and compliance structure.The Board also appreciated the outgoing company secretary, Alsec Nominees Limited, for its service and contributions during its tenure.
