The organisation traced the origin of the quote to a Facebook page known as Kenya News Flash, which has previously been associated with publishing fabricated quotes involving prominent local and international figures.The alleged statement was later redesigned and reposted by other social media accounts, increasing its reach.Africa Check also noted that neither Kenyan nor international credible news outlets reported the alleged remarks.
