The order also prevents the hospital from seeking relief in Rhode Island courts or assisting others in doing so, raising concerns about federal overreach.

This decision comes despite a recent Rhode Island federal judge already rejecting a Justice Department subpoena in a related case, citing misconduct by the DOJ.Stern highlighted that similar subpoenas have been blocked by seven other courts before reaching O'Connor's courtroom in Fort Worth, Texas.

Critics argue that this overreach may set up a constitutional conflict regarding the authority of judges aligned with the MAGA movement to affect residents of blue states.

Legal experts suggest that such actions warrant congressional investigation to determine whether O'Connor has violated his judicial oath to a degree that could justify impeachment.
