The Federal Ministry of Education has officially dismissed false reports circulating on social media about an alleged attack on the Federal Government Girls’ College (FGGC) Monguno in Borno State.Minister Tunji Alausa emphasized that the reports were misleading and could cause unnecessary panic among parents and the public.He confirmed that all students, staff, and boarding facilities at the school remain safe and fully accounted for.

The ministry reiterated its commitment to ensuring the security of learners in all federal government colleges, highlighting robust security measures in place at FGGC Monguno.

Alausa also clarified that the incident linked to the school on social media involved remedial students outside the campus, and the Borno State government is addressing their safety.

He urged the public to verify information from credible sources before sharing, stressing that misinformation could undermine efforts to provide safe learning environments.

The statement comes amid ongoing concerns about security in the region, with the government reaffirming its collaboration with security agencies to protect educational institutions.
