The flood situation in the Chenab River has improved, with water levels dropping from medium to low.The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) reported that while rivers in Punjab continued to flood due to recent rains, the flow remained stable over the past 24 hours.Low-level flooding was observed at key waterworks like Kalabagh, Chashma, and Taunsa, with flow rates recorded at 334,000 to 370,000 cusecs.The Chenab's flooding subsided, reaching low levels at Marala, Khanki, Qadirabad, and Trimmu barrages.The Ravi River also experienced low-level flooding at Balloki and Sidhnai headworks, though water flow at Shahdara remained normal.PDMA warned of medium flood conditions in Basantar Nullah and high-level flooding in Phalko Nullah.The authority urged residents in floodplains to evacuate and assured relief camps would provide essential services.
