A former chief of the Calabarzon police force is under investigation for allegedly physically and sexually abusing his partner, who is also a police officer.The National Police Commission (Napolcom) has withheld the official's identity pending clearance from Malacañang to investigate the charges.

The complaint, filed by the policewoman against the official, includes allegations of grave misconduct, abuse of authority, and conduct unbecoming of a police officer.The case will be referred to the Napolcom-Calabarzon regional office once Malacañang validates the charges.

The accused official currently holds a position in the Calabarzon police and has a history of bringing the complainant with him during transfers or reassignments.

The complainant expressed fear for her safety after filing the charges, alleging that the official not only beat her but also forced her to simulate sexual acts and strip during video calls.

Napolcom is now handling the case, which highlights ongoing issues of misconduct within the police force and the challenges faced by victims in reporting abuse.
