Babachir Lawal, former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), has alleged that President Bola Tinubu played a central role in forming the All Progressives Congress (APC), funded key aspects of Muhammadu Buhari’s 2015 presidential campaign, and even shelved his own presidential ambitions to unite the opposition against the PDP.Lawal claims Tinubu agreed to defer his presidential goals to prioritize removing the PDP from power.

He also stated Tinubu financed major campaign activities for Yemi Osinbajo, including hiring a chartered plane and employing American consultants linked to Barack Obama, with over N2 billion spent.Lawal criticized Tinubu’s current administration as a failure, accusing officials of prioritizing personal interests over national welfare.

Despite praising Tinubu’s generosity before his presidency, Lawal now says the administration has lost its way, with citizens feeling neglected and bitter about economic struggles.
