Thiruvananthapuram-based space-tech start-up HEX20, which successfully launched its second satellite KOYO on SpaceX’s Transporter-17 mission, has six more satellite missions planned for the next 12 months.

These include NILA III (a CubeSat testing propulsion systems), SAISI (a ship identification satellite for NCU), COSPAR-1 (a space weather measurement satellite with COSPAR collaboration), and a lander module for the Emirates asteroid belt mission.

The company’s own satellites, MAYA-V1 (Multi Application Yearly Assimilated Vehicle) and DINK-N1 (Direct Imaging Network Node), are named after popular comic characters.KOYO, launched for NCU, Taiwan, marked a significant step for HEX20, establishing its reputation as a global satellite partner.The satellites will test advanced technologies like solar panel deployment mechanisms and monopole rod antennas.HEX20’s CEO highlighted KOYO’s success in orbit, emphasizing its role in advancing space research and collaboration with international institutions.The upcoming missions reflect HEX20’s growing expertise in small satellite manufacturing and its commitment to innovation in space technology.
