Trump Faces Multiple Legal Setbacks and Criticism Amid Republican Discontent
Jake Lang, a prominent far-right influencer and Jan.6 rioter, received the maximum 10-day jail sentence for contempt of court in Tennessee after attempting to speak during the bond hearing of Dalton Eatherly, a white livestreamer charged with attempted murder.
Lang, who was pardoned by former President Donald Trump in January 2025 following nearly four years awaiting trial for assaulting police officers with a baseball bat during the Capitol attack, has since been involved in anti-Islam rallies and far-right political activism, including performing Nazi salutes.
Eatherly, the defendant in the bond hearing, faces charges for shooting a Black disabled veteran outside the Montgomery County Courthouse and has a documented history of using racial slurs against Black people.Despite these charges, Eatherly has gained a significant following and raised over $100,000 for his legal defense in a single day.Judge H.Reid Poland III ordered Lang removed from the hearing for attempting to speak without permission.
The case highlights ongoing tensions around far-right activism, public safety, and the legal consequences for individuals involved in politically charged violence.

Glad the court finally held Lang accountable, even if just for 10 days. Shows limits of justice.
