The dispute originated during a press conference in which Acosta questioned Trump about comments on a migrant caravan from Central America, prompting a heated exchange.Trump called Acosta 'a rude, terrible person' and 'the enemy of the people.
' Although CNN successfully sued the administration and Acosta's press pass was restored within a week, he reported receiving death threats and requiring security protection at Trump rallies.
In his satirical Substack letter, Acosta also addressed Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche, formerly Trump’s personal attorney, highlighting the intensity and threats he faced while performing his journalistic duties.Acosta asserts that these experiences provide a substantial case for compensation under the new fund.
